I help children significantly improve their academic performance by helping them find the best version of themselves.

I am an academic coach who has worked with children in many capacities for over 35 years.  I hold a Master of Arts Degree in Education (MAED) from the University of Southern California, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature from California State University, Hayward, and a Life Coaching Certificate from CoachU University. I have attended countless workshops and read hundreds of books and I am expertly educated in self-growth.  I also studied under my mentor, a master Waldorf teacher, for almost ten years.

My education aside, what makes me truly effective with troubled children is that my heart is open. This very thing is my secret weapon.  Also, I am driven and consumed with the need to help children who are dealt with difficulties in academia and other areas of their lives because as a child I too experienced painful challenges.  I was an academic failure, and my childhood was overpowered with feelings of shame, confusion, and low self-esteem.  This feeling affected me powerfully for far too long.

As soon as I was old enough to know that I can, I studied everything I could get my hands on to feed my need to understand what happened to me as a child.  Not only did I go through therapy myself, but also read everything and anything that related to learning, self-improving and the ability to succeed as well as about lives of many who defeated terrible challenges to succeed in their lives.

I also studied all learning theories and psychology from BF Skinner to Jung.  When I became a homeschool mom, I utilized everything that I learned and formulated in teaching him.   Sure enough, my son was academically and in many other ways very successful and went onto one of the most highly coveted undergraduate schools and top six law schools in the country at age nineteen.

I then used the same methodologies, while I taught classes and tutored students, I would use the same methodologies and would hear over and over again from students they were learning more from me than any other teachers around.

After my son went on to college, I coached my first student; I helped him go from D’s and F’s to all A’s except for one B+ in just six months.  He finally became a straight A student a year and a half later and then got accepted into his dream, country-wide coveted school for IT field.

As I continued to teach and coach, I attended and graduated from USC in Education to learn even more about learning theories.

As I continue to coach my students, parents are consistently astounded watching their children so quickly excel and grow in important areas of their lives by working with me.

Coaching children on how to have an amazing life and showing them how to find their purpose, their passion, and what they love to do is my life’s work because when I do, I am the best version of myself.  This state, being the best version of one’s self, is my goal for all of my students.  I want that for my students because if everyone is in this optimal state, we will have an optimal world.
